Since being a child growing up in Denmark I have been captivated by the art of photography and the ability to capture moments of the world - of life. Playing with old point-and-shoot cameras, experimenting with analoge photography and seeing the results in the dark room has been my hobby since I was a child. It has developed the skills, curiosity and eye I today use for professional photography. An eye influenced by the Scandinavian way of simplicity, purity and minimalism. People around me urged me to take my photography to professional level - bringing good pictures to more than just my own eye.
I believe that the great photography exists everywhere at any time, though only once and a good photograph keeps that moment from running away.
Photography to me is about finding the beauty and suspense, in moments that appear to me, be curious and play with it. A face, a new or well known landscape, a citys development or a persons passion.
Living in Shanghai since 2011 has sparked my professional curiosity. Being in a city and country with tremendous contrasts, speedy development and new faces and feelings right before my lens, has inspired me to take my best photographs.
Photography is so much more than just a random click on a camera. Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph. In my work I get inspired by people, their ideas and passions. Continuously my dialogue with my clients - exploring a commen curiosity - inspires me to try new technics, new motives and new ways of doing postproduction.
I hope my photos will spark your curiosity.
